Subject: This session will be a view into the exciting and fast paced world of Glamour and Fashion Photography. We will cover all of the basics beginning from the planning of the session completely through the actual photo session. You will receive tips and tricks of the pro's for national magazine shoots. You will gain the knowledge of what goes into choosing a model, setting up for a session and everything in between to receive those beautiful glamorous and edgy images. You will have an opprutunity to photograph a live model in this session. Maria Christie is fast becoming one of the most sought after photographers around. She has appeared on the Tyra Banks Show and been involved in producing several national magazine covers highlighting such celebrities as Angela Bassett, Shamar Moore, Kimberly Elise, and Kandy Alexander for covers of Ebony Magazine. Maria has also done personal portraiture for NBA star Chris Webber; Los Angeles Lakers coach Brian Shaw for a promotional brochure to be distributed throughout the NBA; Dr. Cornel West; and personal portraiture for Seattle Seahawk, Julian Peterson. She was selected to photograph one of six photographers to be highlighted and sponsored by Microsoft. She was also an honored guest in Washington D.C. for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for a photography book launch event. Her passion includes a rich history of giving back to the community with such events as being the founder and a key producer of A Day in the Life of Oak Park project, a display of her work entitled A Rhythm in Life at the SMUD Art Gallery of Sacramento, as well as teaching a summer youth group of Sacramento Country Day School the art of photography. Maria has been working on several personal projects including a movement project called Twirl and helping to produce a photo exhibit in Geneva, Switzerland. www.mariachristie.com
